"Born in Soweto, South Africa on 13 Dec 1975 at a time of conflict, riots and apartheid, Bubu was whisked off to boarding school in Swaziland, attending as a boarder at the Florence Christian Academy. In 1991 she returned to South Africa to complete her education before finally returning to Swaziland to Matriculate.In 1993, Bubu studied Fine Arts until an opportunity arose to study film at the New York Film Academy. However, two weeks after her arrival in the United States her sponsor died, forcing her to drop out of the academy. However she stayed on in New York to study filmmaking and drama.In 1998 Bubu appeared in her first film Desert Diners. This was followed by a children’s' movie entitled Lost and Found.Television includes leads in a number of series: Yizo Yizo, Zero Tolerance, Gazlam 1 and Gazlam 2, Behind the Badge and Jozi Streets to name but a few."
